When using methods of connection such as category cable, wireless bridges, cellular data, 2-wire PoE, Wi-Fi, etc., we need to be testing for the ability of that method to work successfully on that site.  Cloud-based systems work using DHCP protocol, allowing for plug-and-play set up on the vast majority of sites.  Bench testing a system prior to on site installation can alleviate any confusion between site issues and hardware issues, saving valuable time during install.
